Contact and Ordering Information

Making Contact with Byrdcall Studio:

  • Contact me directly by e-mail, by simply clicking on the "Click Here to E-Mail" button. If you want to buy an item displayed on my website, if you want me to make one similar to one you see, or if you want something all together different, tell me what you have in mind. If you leave your phone number and some general good times to call, I’ll call you about your request. I generally respond to e-mails within 24 hours (unless I’m taking a rare vacation.)
  • You can call me at (410) 549-4889 weekdays between 8:00 a.m. and 6:00 pm Eastern Standard Time. (If I’m out, just leave a message and I’ll call you as soon as I return.)
  • Mailing address is Byrdcall Studio, P. O. Box 162, Woodbine, MD 21797
  • Visitors are welcome, by appointment. If you live nearby and would rather stop in to pick up your order, you can save shipping charges. Contact me for directions.

Payment: You may pay by cash (for walk-in visitors), check, VISA®, MasterCard®, American Express, PayPal or money order. For security reasons, I do not take credit card information through e-mail. For all items "in stock" the full amount is due before shipping. You can make payments with your credit card when we speak by phone or in person. I generally ask for a 50% deposit to confirm custom orders, with the balance (plus shipping & handling) due prior to shipping for "large" orders of floorcloths, rya rugs, mailboxes, and sets of hand painted glasses.

Shipping: Unless you have a preference, I will ship via UPS, FedEx, Airborne Courier or USPS for the most reliable and safest delivery of your purchase of art. Floorcloths are shipped in round tubes via courier so they will arrive safe and sound. Since just about all orders are different sizes and weights, I can determine the cost of shipping and handling after you tell us of your needs. If you need overnight shipping, I will be happy to run it to the shipping center!

Delivery Time: Depending on what you are ordering, delivery can be overnight or could take several months (for a hand knotted rya rug, for example.) In general, if the exact item you want is "in stock," I can ship it the same day or within 3 days if you are not in a hurry.

If you are requesting custom work, allow approximately 3 weeks for custom glass painting, mailbox painting, and canvas pin paintings. Floorcloths may take 4 to 8 weeks from time of deposit depending on the size of the cloth and the intricacy of the design. Be sure to check with us to see what the current studio schedule is. The month before the Holiday Season can get very busy, so plan ahead!

To Customize for You: No matter what you custom order from Byrdcall Studio, I want YOU to be part of the creative process. Even if you are not an artist, your input is invaluable to the successful outcome of an awesome artistic piece just for you. Send me magazine clippings, wallpaper samples, fabric swatches, photos, paint chips from which I produce one-of-a-kind piece for you. I mix the paints to create the perfect colors for your décor.

For pet portraits on glassware, pastel paper, or canvas; you will be most impressed with the results if you provide me with great photographs from which to work. Unless you simply want "a Dalmatian" I want to provide you with a portrait of a specific Dalmatian, "Spotty." I have thousands of photographs in my reference file and in reference books from which to select poses of animals. Ask me—you don’t have to provide me with pictures if you don’t have a specific individual in mind. (If you really like Jersey Cows, but not a particular Jersey Cow, I can paint a neat-looking Jersey Cow of my choosing on your pint glass.) I’ll email you a sketch or a reference photo for your approval before I start.

Communication with each other is vital. I want you to be thrilled with my work, so I want to know everything you can share with me about what will make you most happy. I will confirm with you direction of progress at all crucial steps along the way. I listen carefully to your feedback and send pictures of my progress as appropriate. I take quality digital image photos which I send for your enthusiastic approval. Believe me; if I am not "on target" I want to know early on so I can make it RIGHT. It is my pledge to you that I will do all I can do to make you totally happy with your purchase.

Before I ship your piece of artwork, you will have the chance to see and approve it through pictures.

I look forward to hearing from you!
