Mural Painting in your Home or Business. . . . . .

I generally will travel throughout the surrounding regions of Carroll, Howard, Frederick, and Baltimore Counties, Maryland, to paint whatever you wish on your walls, doors or windows.

E-mail me to talk about your ideas. I can paint just about anything, but an early conversation will help set us both thinking along the same lines. Painting animals and plants are my forte. I’m not a scaffold hauling artist, so no cathedral ceilings, please.

In general, I charge approximately $50.00 per hour plus supplies. I calculate the estimated time in advance and usually keep within that range. I work fast, too.

I paint free-hand (without stencils), and my work has an organic, lively look. I can recreate storybook characters and scenes for a child’s room, or create an imaginary environment.

A preliminary visit to your home will allow us to share ideas and give me an opportunity to visualize the work I can do for you. I charge $75 (plus 50 cents/mile for travel beyond 20 miles of my home) for a home visit, which is redeemable when you commission me to do the work. Often, on the spot, I will draw up sketches of what I envision. If you are thrilled with the ideas, and give me the "go ahead," I request 50% payment in advance and the remainder upon completion and your satisfaction with my work. In preparation, I research the subject to be painted and come up with detailed images. I often come to your house with live plant material (such as grape vines) to guarantee a realistic rendition of your subjects. I love getting ideas from your children to see what they envision on their walls, so they can be part of the process!
