Welcome to my Printed Shirts page. Most
of my loyal customers and friends know me for my shirts. In
2002 I started using my linocuts and woodcuts to hand-print on
shirts. It took many trials and errors, but I really have it
down to a science now.
Believe me this is not an easy thing to
do. After designing and carving my block, I roll ink onto the
block, carefully set it ink-side-down on the shirt
surface…then the hard part: flipping the whole shirt and block
over so the shirt does not lose contact with the block. Then
for many minutes I rub—burnish—the back of the shirt to force
the ink deeply into the fibers of the front of the shirt!
Then, after carefully flipping the bundle back over, I
carefully remove the block while praying for a perfect image
and voila! A hand-printed shirt. I use an oil-base ink, but do
all ink clean-up with a Soy-solvent and Simple Green!

In addition to hand-printed shirts, I
offer some of my designs silk-screened onto shirts. See my

will email you a secure online invoice for credit card
purchases for the cost of the shirt with shipping and handling

*Organic Cotton Shirts
Welcome to my new line of affordably
priced 100% Organic Cotton T-shirts for men and women made by
Anvil. No pesticides or other chemicals are used in the
production of this 100% Pre-shrunk, 5oz organic cotton fabric
shirt. I have selected 6 designs to start with this new
line. Note that this line of shirt is true to size--not
over-sized as are the Authentic Pigment shirts. They are
great for people who like a soft cotton slimming shirt.
Each design is available in the colors
as shown: City Green, River Blue, and Natural unbleached
cotton. All are available in the Men's/Unisex style
shirt except for the Dragonfly design which is only in women's
cut shirts. The Great Blue Heron and the Listening
design are available in both the Men's/Unisex style AND the
Ladies' cut shirts.
Each of these are available at my "Buy
It Now" etsy shop or simply drop me an email from this web
site to order. Just tell me what design and what size
you want--ladies or men's if applicable. The
one-color prints are only $20 plus S&H. The two
multi-color designs are only $24 plus S&H. I
will send you an online invoice for payment.
**More Silkscreened Shirts
I have several more silkscreened images
which are readily and immediately available. While these are
not painstakingly burnished by my hand, they look almost the
same and they cost $5 less. I can ship immediately if you
email me your request. I’ll follow up with an emailed online
invoice.
